With Google Vertex AI, you can use artificial intelligence to generate a draft email.
To set up a Write an Email action:
1. Choose the app and event
- In the Zap editor, click the action step, or click the plus + icon to add an action to your Zap.
- Search and select Google Vertex AI.
- Click the Event dropdown menu.
- Select Write an Email.
- Click Continue.
2. Connect to Google Vertex AI
- Click Sign in.
- A pop-up window will appear. Log into your Google Cloud account.
- Click Continue.
3. Set up Write an Email
- Recipient Name: Add the name of the person to whom you want to send an email.
- Recipient Email: Add the email address of the person to whom you want to send an email.
- From Name: Add the name the email will be from.
- Email Prompt: Add a prompt to describe the content of the email you wish to send.

Tone: Select the tone of the generated content from the Tone dropdown menu:

- Neutral
- Casual

Body: Select from the dropdown what format the email should be sent in:

- Plain Text
- HTML

- Project ID: From the dropdown menu, select your project ID.
- Model Region: By default, us-central1 will be selected.
- Advanced Fields (optional): To adjust your large language model (LLM) parameters, select True from the Advanced Fields dropdown menu. Your screen will refresh to show the advanced fields.
- Once you’ve set up your fields, click Continue.
4. Test the action
- Click Test action.
- The next screen will show if Zapier can perform the action step successfully.
Once you’ve set up your Write an Email action, you can set up a send email action with your chosen email app.
