About Telegram's app
Triggers, searches, and actions
Triggers
- New Message (Instant) - Triggers instantly when a new message is received by your bot via webhook.
Searches
- No search actions available for Telegram.
Actions
- Send Photo - Sends a photo from your bot.
- Send Message - Sends a message from your bot.
- Send Poll - Sends a poll from your bot.
Limitations
- Rate limits apply. There is a usage limit of 30 messages per second for bulk notifications across all chats.
- Each Telegram bot can only be connected to one Zap with a New Message trigger at a time. If you need multiple Zaps to receive Telegram messages, create a separate bot for each Zap.
- The New Message trigger only triggers on messages from private chats or groups (if the bot is added and Privacy Mode is disabled in BotFather). It will not trigger on messages sent by the bot's owner account.
- The Chat ID can accept a Chat ID or a channel user name.
-
The Chat ID field dropdown menu only shows active chats or channels from the past 24 hours, requiring manual refresh for older conversations. To refresh your chats or channels:
- Send a message in the chat or channel.
- In your Zap, click the Chat ID field, and click Load More.
- Your chat or channel should appear in the Chat ID dropdown menu.
