How to get started with OpenAI (GPT-4, DALL-E, Whisper) on Zapier

Connect to OpenAI on Zapier

OpenAI uses API keys to authenticate your account on Zapier.

Required authentication fields

Additional authentication instructions

  1. Log into your OpenAI account.
  2. In your account settings, click View API keys.
  3. Click + Create new secret key.
  4. Copy your API key.
  5. (Optional) You can find your Organization ID in your Organization settings if you belong to multiple organizations.

If you get the error authentication failed during authentication, it may mean you've reached your OpenAI usage limits. Check your OpenAI billing settings.

Data sent to OpenAI through Zaps is via OpenAI API. Under OpenAI's API data usage policy, OpenAI will not use API-submitted data to train or improve their models unless you explicitly decide to share your data with them for that purpose (such as by opting in).
